Maxi Zoo celebrate their 30th Birthday by helping Wild Birds.

Maxi Zoo are kicking off the new year celebrating the brands 30th birthday, and marking the occasion by giving back to Irish Wildlife.  Ireland’s largest pet retailer have announced their Heart for Wild Birds campaign, which will see the retailer donate 10% of sales from their MultiFit Sunflower Seed Hearts to Wildlife Rehabilitation Ireland (WRI) for the full month of January.

WRI promotes wildlife rehabilitation and helps to improve wildlife welfare and conservation in Ireland.

Anthony Cremin, Marketing Manager said “Wild birds are in decline in Ireland,  so it’s imperative that we help where we can. A simple way to do this is by feeding them. When the temperatures drop to below freezing and hard ground hampers the search for food, many animal lovers can help out native birds by providing them with extra food rations throughout the winter to help sustain the wild bird population”.

“It was a natural fit to partner with WRI, as animal lovers we commend them on their commitment supporting rehabilitators who work in this field and we are delighted to donate a percentage of our sales to help vulnerable wildlife.”

The organisation in Ireland has over 175 employees, with 20 stores across Ireland, located in counties: Westmeath (Mullingar), Tipperary (Clonmel), Wexford (Gorey), Carlow, Waterford, Cork (Ballincollig & Midleton), Dublin (Blanchardstown, Finglas, Tallaght, Liffey Valley, Clarehall, Santry & Leopardstown), Kildare (Naas, Newbridge & Maynooth), Wicklow (Bray), Limerick and Longford.
