A move, new family members, a stay in kennels or temporary changes in the surroundings such as thunderstorms and fireworks can cause anxiety and stress in sensitive dogs. The consequences vary depending on the dog, and can range from hair loss to vomiting, increased heart rate, urinary markers or barking. Special nutrition can help to minimise emotional stress in a noisy environment. It can also only be given temporarily to assist with emotional balance if, for example, planned changes like a house move are pending.
