Give Paw – Animal Rescue Fundraising Campaign 2015

Charities across the country are set to benefit from a unique month long fundraising campaign which is being organised by their local Maxi Zoo pet store with the support of its customers.

All proceeds from the store’s imaginative ‘Give Paw!’ fundraiser will go directly to the stores nominated rescues to assist the charity in meeting the high cost of providing for the needs of animals in its care.

The annual ‘Give Paw!’ fundraiser is hugely popular with Maxi Zoo customers nationwide, enabling them to make big or small donations to their local pet charities throughout the month of October.

Every customer who makes a €1 donation receives two ‘Give Paw!’ stickers, one of which can be placed onto a ball and dropped into an in-store ball-pit which provides customers with a visual indicator of their generosity.

The hardworking volunteers behind the local shelters will also visit the store each Saturday during October to provide customers with an insight into the charity’s work to care for abandoned and stray animals.

Volunteers from the charity will also bring along dogs looking for a new home and will provide those interested in becoming pet parents with an opportunity to meet the dogs for the first time.  A number of exciting events have been scheduled for the weekend:

“We are delighted to support local animal shelters and to use our annual ‘Give Paw!’ event to raise funds for these wonderful local charities. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and it always receives tremendous support from our many customers,” said Alice Cross, Executive Director of Maxi Zoo Ireland.

“All donations will make a big difference to the work undertaken by the dedicated volunteers at our partner charities. Customers can donate at any time throughout the month and we are hoping to fill the Give Paw! ball-pit before the month is out,” she added.
