Maxi Zoo celebrated World Animal Week by hosting a series of free fun events for local families and pet owners to enjoy.

Free pet grooming demonstrations, expert talks on pet nutrition and free pet weighing services all took place in the stores during the weekend of October 6th and 7th.

Maxi Zoo also allowed families who rescued pets from local charities to reunite with the charity, so that they could catch up on how their pet is doing in its new home.

For the entire month of October, each Maxi Zoo store created a tower of stacked plastic balls to demonstrate local support for the charity. For every €1 donated, another ball was placed on the tower.

“World Animal Week is all about celebrating the value of pets and helping to raise the standard of animal welfare worldwide,” said Tony Cross, owner of Maxi Zoo.

“The free events we have organised are a great way to learn more about charities and for pet owners to discover more about what they can do to provide the best standard of care for their pet,” he added.

Maxi Zoo wants to give a big thanks to any and all customers who participated! Together we have managed to benefit many local charities, including:
