Europe’s number one pet retailer Maxi Zoo is set to open its fifteenth Irish store in the Liffey Valley Retail Park in Clondalkin, Dublin with the creation of 15 new jobs.
The new 7,000 square foot store will officially open to the public on Thursday, 14th November 2013.
Maxi Zoo has experienced significant growth in Ireland since opening its first store in Ballincollig in 2006 and plans to open another 30 stores across the county over the next five years.
“We are delighted to locate our fifteenth Irish store in Clondalkin and to extend our nationwide service to customers,” said Alice Cross, Executive Director of Maxi Zoo Ireland.
All staff working at the store have been trained as pet experts and are available to share their knowledge with pet parents. The store will also provide a free pet weighing service.
“We love animals and we provide the best advice and products that pet parents can find. We know that happier pets make happier people.
Our in-store pet experts are always on hand to provide customers with exactly what they are looking for and that is why we are such a successful brand,” said Alice.
Maxi Zoo will also celebrate the opening of the Liffey Valley store with a Family Fun Day on Sunday, November 17th from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. where families can enjoy face-painting and a visit by Dave’s Jungle.
The free fun event will give children of all ages the opportunity to learn more about and to get close to giant snakes, tarantulas, iguanas and millipedes. Maxi Zoo mascots Max the Dog and Izoo the Cat will also attend.
Maxi Zoo is also looking forward to working with local charities and to continuing its work to provide free local events and advice about responsible pet ownership, neutering and pet micro-chipping.
Local clients of the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind will also be pleased to know that the new store can provide them with selected dog food at cost price.
