Dogs need a lot of fresh meat and an optimal nutrient and energy content for a species-appropriate diet.

Acana Grass-Fed Lamb is a high quality and balanced food for adult dogs. It is a monoprotein diet with lamb as the only easily digestible animal protein source and is therefore also ideal for nutritionally sensitive dogs of all breeds.

The food consists of 50% raw lamb from New Zealand, completely approved for human consumption. The lamb is delivered in nutritious “whole prey” portions consisting of meat, liver, cartilage and rumen and reflects the natural food. Fresh apples and pumpkin support healthy digestion. Acana also focuses on a low carbohydrate content (30%) and quickly replaces digestible carbohydrates such as rice, tapioca and potatoes with healthy, low glycaemic fruit and vegetables such as pumpkin. These allow the blood sugar level to rise slowly and thus reduce fat storage.

The feed is free from pea or potato protein concentrates as well as cereals, the high protein content (31%) comes solely from animal ingredients. This is important for a lean muscle build and a healthy diet.

Acana is made exclusively in NorthStar’s own Canadian kitchens, with fresh, sustainably sourced ingredients.
