Dog whistles originally came from working with hunting, retriever and herding dogs. Dogs do not react to words, they react primarily to sounds.
Dogs' hearing differs significantly from human hearing, so they also hear frequencies that are barely perceptible to our ears.
With the high-frequency whistle, you can train your dog to return, for example. Our voices quickly convey signals that are misunderstood by our four-legged friends..
