Feeding recommendation
When changing your dog's food, we recommend a gradual transition to avoid stomach problems. This usually takes around 7 days, but it's a good idea to keep an eye on your dog to check that the transition is going well.
To begin the transition, introduce the new food in a small proportion to the old food - we recommend a ratio of 25% new food to 75% old food - and gradually increase the ratio of new food over about 7 days, until your dog has completely switched to the new food. Be sure to monitor your dog's behaviour and food intake during this period.
We recommend a ratio of 25% new food to 75% old food for the first few days, and if all signs are good, move to 50%/50% after about 4 days, 75%/25% after about 6 days. Finally, switch to 100% of the new food after 7 or 8 days if your dog continues to react well and tolerate the new food.
In addition, we recommend that you maintain the same feeding routine, mealtimes and feeding areas while you switch your dog to the new food. Don't hesitate to speak to your vet if you have any concerns about your dog during this transition.
