If your pet comes home with a tick in its coat, it is important to have the right tool to hand to remove the pest. Tick bites themselves are generally not very dangerous for dogs or cats. Infections are often only transmitted when the tick releases blood. That is why fully engorged ticks should be removed without applying any pressure. Instructions for use: 

• First select the appropriate tick according to the tick size: You remove fully-engorged ticks with the large tick hook, the small ones you use for ticks that have just bitten.
• Try to get underneath the tick in order to remove it as far as possible.
• Carefully turn the hook until the tick comes loose.
• Note: Do not pull it, just turn it so that no pressure is exerted on the tick’s body.
